Paralives All Skills Guide: Every Skill and How to Level It
A practical Early Access reference for adult skills, baby skills, learning methods, Biology troubleshooting, and efficient household planning.
How skills work in Paralives
Paralives all skills progression begins when a Parafolk repeats a relevant activity. The current skill reference documents levels from 0 to 20 and notes that many actions award both skill experience and broader knowledge experience. That makes skills useful for more than a single hobby: they can also shape which activities, careers, and household roles feel natural for a character.
The best way to use this list is to choose one practical skill and one expressive skill for each adult Parafolk. A practical focus such as Cooking, Programming, Biology, or Surgery supports routine and work goals. An expressive focus such as Guitar, Piano, Dance, Painting, or Graphic Design gives the household a clearer identity and helps prevent every save from feeling the same.
Early Access matters. Skill names, learning objects, rewards, balance, and career links can change between updates. This page separates current verified systems from strategy suggestions and avoids treating the list as permanent final-game documentation.
All current Paralives skills
The table combines the current community-maintained skill list with learning-method guidance from official Live Mode documentation. Object availability and exact interactions can vary by update.

|---|---|---|---|

Repair knowledge appears in current skill-reference data, but it is not presented as a separate learnable skill. Treat it as an action-related knowledge area unless the in-game interface shows otherwise in your version.
How to level skills faster without turning the save into a grind
There is no single universal shortcut. Efficient leveling comes from matching the object, schedule, mood, and household role to the skill you actually want.
Use the direct interaction
Choose the object or action clearly associated with the skill. Repeating unrelated actions may build general knowledge without reliably raising the target skill.
Protect a practice block
Give the Parafolk a short uninterrupted window after basic needs are handled. Stopping every few minutes for food, sleep, or travel makes progress feel slower.
Build the room around the goal
Place skill objects where they are easy to reach and where the household already spends time. A guitar in storage or a computer behind routing obstacles is easy to ignore.
Specialize the household
Assign different skill priorities to different Parafolks. Specialization creates clearer stories and lets the household cover more systems without exhausting one character.
How to learn Biology in Paralives
Biology is the clearest problem query around the current skill system. If normal household actions are not producing Biology experience, start with the Biology skill book. Current community documentation identifies the book as the reliable learning route, while broad science-themed décor or unrelated reading should not be assumed to award Biology levels.
Because Early Access patches can change catalog placement and interaction labels, verify the object name in your current build. If you cannot find it, check the search field, book-related categories, current patch notes, and whether a mod is hiding or replacing catalog entries.
- Search the catalog or book options. Look specifically for Biology rather than choosing any general book.
- Confirm the correct Parafolk is reading. Watch the active character and check the skill panel before and after the session.
- Let the interaction run long enough. A very short interrupted action may not make the progress change obvious.
- Test without mods if progress is stuck. Temporarily disable incompatible content, reload a backup save, and repeat the verified interaction.
Best skill plans for different Parafolk roles
These are planning suggestions, not hidden bonuses. Use them to give each household member a clear reason to practice.
Home-focused starter
Combine Cooking with Painting, Guitar, or Piano. One skill supports the household every day; the other creates a personal hobby and a reason to design a dedicated room.
Remote creative worker
Pair Graphic Design with Programming. Keep the computer area comfortable, leave time for breaks, and avoid making every waking hour a work session.
Science or medical route
Start Biology deliberately, then follow verified career interactions before assuming Surgery can be trained like a normal home hobby.
Social household
Use Dance, music, Cooking, and shared spaces together. The aim is not only faster levels; it is creating activities several Parafolks can naturally join.

Common skill mistakes
Treating an old video as a permanent skill list
Pre-release footage is useful context, but current Early Access menus and patch notes should win when names or methods conflict.
Trying to level every skill on one character
This creates repetitive schedules and weak household identity. A few meaningful specialties usually produce better play.
Assuming every knowledge gain is a skill level
Knowledge and skill experience can appear together, but they are not interchangeable. Check the target skill panel directly.
Ignoring version and mod compatibility
If an expected object or interaction is missing, confirm the game version and test without outdated mods before concluding that the guide is wrong.
Paralives skills FAQ
How many skills are in Paralives?
The current reference list contains 12 adult learnable skills plus Language and Potty Training for babies, for 14 listed developmental skills in total. Early Access updates may add or reorganize them.
What is the maximum skill level?
The current skill reference lists progression from level 0 to level 20. Check the in-game panel after major patches.
How do I learn Biology in Paralives?
Use the Biology skill book or another interaction explicitly identified as Biology training in your current build. General reading or science-themed objects should not be assumed to work.
Is Repair a skill?
Current community reference data shows Repair as knowledge without a separate associated skill. Check the in-game panel after patches because the system may evolve.
Can babies learn skills?
Yes. Language and Potty Training are listed as baby developmental skills, while the broader adult skill set applies to older Parafolks.
Will Paralives add more skills?
Yes. Official Early Access information says more skills and live-mode content are planned, so this page should be treated as a dated snapshot rather than a final list.
